Sachin Pilot
Sachin Pilot, a member of Congress, was the Minister of Corporate Affairs in the second Manmohan Singh government and is currently the President of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (RPCC). Pilot became the first union minister to be commissioned as an officer in the Territorial Army (TA), fulfilling his desire to follow his late father Rajesh Pilot’s footsteps to be in the armed forces. Rajesh Pilot was a veteran leader of Congress who also served as a union minister.
Ashok Gehlot
Ashok Gehlot is Congress’ national general secretary and in-charge of party’s organisations and training wing. He was the Chief Minister of Rajasthan from 1998 to 2003 and again from 2008 to 2013. During 1971’s East Bengal refugees crisis, he served in the refugee camps in the eastern states of India. Former prime minister Indira Gandhi first identified his organisational skills there during one of her visits to the refugee camps.
Jyotiraditya Scindia
Jyotiraditya Scindia is a scion of the Scindia royal family that once ruled in Gwalior. As a Parliamentarian, he represented Guna constituency in Madhya Pradesh (MP). He was a Minister of State (MoS) of Power in the cabinet of prime minister (PM) Manmohan Singh from October 2012 until May 2014. He is also the titular king of Gwalior, meaning if the state of Gwalior not been abolished, he would have been the ruler today.
Kamal Nath
Kamal Nath is one of the longest-serving and senior-most members of Lok Sabha (Lower House of Parliament). He represents Congress from Chhindwara constituency of Madhya Pradesh (MP) and has been elected nine times from there. He was elected as the president of MP Congress Committee in May to lead the party in the recently-held assembly election.
