Bangkok: The stage is set for the three-day Bollywood awards extravaganza, the International Indian Film Academy Awards 2018, to kick off as Bollywood stars take over Bangkok.

We met veteran actor Anupam Kher @AnupamPKher, who is now in Bangkok to celebrate the magic of Indian Cinema.

On Saturday morning, excited fans gathered outside a Bangkok mall waiting for Bollywood stars who flew in for the 16th International Indian Film Academy Awards in the Thai capital.

Bollywood stars, including Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, are already here at the Thai capital to officially kick off the annual awards show, that’s often dubbed as the Oscars of Bollywood. 

 


But this event isn’t just about presenting awards. Concerts, interactions with stars and dance performances by Bollywood stars will serve as a glittering prelude to the awards presentation, which will honour the best in Hindi cinema.


Vidya Balan’s family entertainer Tumhari Sulu leads the IIFA nominations with seven nods, but the actress isn’t here yet.

Later tonight, IIFA Rocks, which will feature a fashion show by designer Vikram Phadnis and performances by singer Pritam Chakkraborty, along with Sreerama Chandra, Amit Mishra and Nikhita will perform.

But the grand finale will be held on Sunday evening at the Siam Niramat Convention Centre.
