As Muslims gather for daily prayers during the holy month of Ramadan, a newly inaugurated mosque in Dubai Marina is set to become a prominent place of worship. The late Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Mosque, with a capacity of 1,647 worshippers, offers a modern and inclusive space for the growing community in the area.
Inspired by the rich heritage of Ottoman art, the mosque's design reflects a harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary architectural elements. Spanning an impressive 5,021.31 square metres, the mosque is equipped with modern facilities to ensure the utmost comfort for its worshippers. The layout includes a spacious courtyard, well-designed ablution areas, parking spaces, and prayer halls, all constructed according to the highest design and functionality standards.
Dubbed by the Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department as "a model for contemporary mosques," the mosque is specifically designed to meet the community's diverse needs. In addition to the traditional prayer spaces, the mosque also features designated areas for people of determination, further reflecting the commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.
With the ability to accommodate 1,397 men and 250 women, the mosque serves as a beacon of both spiritual devotion and architectural excellence, welcoming worshippers from all walks of life.
