Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, other UAE rulers and crown princes witnessed the launch of a new 50-dirham banknote on the occasion of UAE's 50th National Day.

The Emirates news agency WAM reported that the new Dh50 banknote is adorned with the image of the Father of the Nation, Sheikh Zayed, the founding fathers, and a number of national and historical monuments.

The Central Bank revealed, WAM reported, that the note has enhanced security and technical characteristics.
