Ras Al Khaimah: A fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon in an air-conditioner unit on the roof of Ras Al Khaimah Mall, the emirate’s Civil Defence said.
Rapid intervention teams were dispatched and the fire was extinguished. Visitors of the mall were evacuated safely. No casualties have been reported in the incident.
Ras Al Khaimah Police cordoned off the mall to facilitate the movement for emergency crews.
An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.
Back to normal
After the incident, Line Investments & Property said the mall management took all necessary precautions to contain the fire with no causalities and that the mall is back to normal operations.
