Man with multiple stab wounds dumped at RAK hospital
Abu Dhabi/Ras Al Khaimah: Two Arab men have been apprehended for being suspected of murdering a 24-year-old GCC countryman after an argument broke out between the trio under the influence of drugs, the Ministry of Interior said on Wednesday.
The pair, A.K.B., 21, and Y.K.M., 26, were caught by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) only two hours after the crime took place in Ras Al Khaimah.
According to police reports, the first suspect allegedly stabbed the victim, A.K.M., in his chest and helped his accomplice place the body in the deceased’s vehicle.
The offenders then reportedly drove the car to a hospital in order to leave the victim at the emergency department before fleeing, Brigadier Mohammad Al Noubi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the RAK Police, said.
The police then received a call from the hospital, and managed to set up a team to investigate the matter.
Within two hours, police say, the two suspects — who both have criminal records — were caught.
A.K.B. supposedly confessed to the crime, adding that his partner helped him transport the body to the hospital.
Gulf News reported on Tuesday that a man in his twenties was found dead in front of Saqr Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah in a suspected murder case.
The body of the victim was found with several stab wound. It was thought that another person driving a car dumped the victim’s body in front of the emergency section of Saqr Hospital.
A senior police official at Ras Al Khaimah Police confirmed the incident to Gulf News.
The official said the police team went to the scene of the incident and found the body with several stab wounds.
A police patrol had informed the operations room that a person driving a vehicle had dumped the body before speeding away.
Police surveillance cameras in the area helped track the suspect.
