Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that certain roads will be temporarily closed on Thursday, February 6, for the UAE Tour Women cycling race.

The race started at 12:45 pm from the Dubai Police Officers' Club and will conclude at Dubai Harbour at 4:40 pm, covering a total of 149 km.

Traffic disruptions are expected along the route, including Dubai Police Officers' Club to Latifa Hospital Street.

The RTA has released the route map for the UAE Tour Women 2025 and confirmed that affected roads will reopen after the last cyclist has passed. Commuters are advised to plan ahead and leave early to avoid delays.

Meanwhile, Dubai Police have announced the start of road closures via social media, listing affected routes and urging motorists to use alternate roads.

UAE Tour Women 2025

The UAE Tour Women 2025 will take place from February 6-9, covering 540 km over four stages from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. The race includes flat and mountain stages, passing key landmarks.

The UAE Tour 2025 follows from February 17-23, spanning 1,013 km across seven stages, starting in Al Dhafra and ending in Al Ain. It features four flat stages, two mountain climbs (Jebel Jais & Jebel Hafeet), and a 12.2 km individual time trial.

Both tours highlight the UAE’s diverse landscapes and major tourist attractions.

  • Stage 1 (Feb 6) – Dubai: Dubai Police Officers Club to Dubai Harbour (149 km)

  • Stage 2 (Feb 7) – Al Dhafra: Al Dhafra Fort to Al Mirfa (111 km)

  • Stage 3 (Feb 8) – Al Ain: Qasr Al Muwaiji to Jebel Hafeet summit (152 km)

  • Stage 4 (Feb 9) – Abu Dhabi: Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy to Abu Dhabi Corniche (128 km)

UAE Tour 2025 (Men’s Race)

Following the women’s event, the UAE Tour 2025 will take place from February 17 to February 23, covering 1,013 km over seven stages, including:

  • Flat stages in Al Dhafra, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi

  • Mountain climbs to Jebel Jais and Jebel Hafeet

  • A 12.2 km individual time trial on Al Hudayriat Island
