Metro sees almost 51.4 million riders in the first three months of this year
Dubai: The Dubai Metro saw a three per cent increase in riders in the first quarter of this year.
The metro saw almost 51.4 million riders in the first three months of this year, compared with 49.9 million riders in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, in the first quarter of this year, the Dubai Tram served 1,601,076 riders compared with 1,338,601 riders served during the first quarter of 2015.
An RTA official in charge of the transport body’s rail operations credited the rise to “diffusing the culture of using public transport means among community members”.
