Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Police have launched a self-service centre to provide traffic and security-related services at the Traffic and Licensing Department.
The centre is equipped with smart teller kiosks, which offer vehicle registration renewal, fines enquiry and payments, replacement driver licences, or vehicle registration certificates through the Emirates Vehicle Gate (EVG) as well as other police services.
The kiosks will also be set up at malls in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra, according to major General Maktoum Ali Al Sharifi, director-general of Abu Dhabi Police.
The kiosks have a built-in Emirates ID reader and a QR code reader to connect between the smart app and kiosks so the customer can apply online and receive the service physically from the nearest kiosk, in addition to a signature pad, passport scanner and document scanner.
