Shaikh Khalifa pardons 3,005 prisoners ahead of Ramadan

ABU DHABI: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 3,005 prisoners - serving various sentences - and pledged to settle the financial obligations of the released prisoners, ahead of Ramadan.

The gesture is part of President Shaikh Khalifa's attempt to provide prisoners an opportunity to start a new life and alleviate their families hardships.
