Abu Dhabi: Around 400 people have benefited from educational forums conducted to raise awareness on how to enjoy a stable family life, the Marriage Fund announced on Tuesday.
About nine forums were conducted across the UAE during the first half of this year and were attended by several families and couples, who wish to sustain a strong family and get through financial and social problems that might arise.
“Courses are meant to raise awareness on how to enjoy a peaceful life, manage financial responsibilities and solve problems that might start with married life,” Habiba Eisa Al Hosani, acting director-general of the Marriage Fund, told Gulf News earlier.
Universities, social development centres, and other organisations took part in the Fund’s lectures to provide people intending to marry with financial support as well as prepare and qualify them with the skills and knowledge required for the establishment of a cohesive Emirati family.
Lectures discussed the great role of parents in ensuring that their children have a blissful marriage and duties that spouses should perform to make their marriage a success.
Several programmes such as Eddad (preparations) were conducted earlier to cover the family on social, economic, and cultural levels.
Books which focus on topics and issues which address areas of concern and raise awareness about the importance of the family, are also available in the capital.
