Abu Dhabi: The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), in coordination with its strategic partners, has announced a new update to the procedures governing all COVID-19 close contact cases.

According to the new protocol, all COVID-19 close contact cases are required to conduct a PCR test on the first and seventh day, or when symptoms appear to those in contact with infected patients.

The newly updated protocol will be effective from today (Friday), March 25, 2022.

The update comes in line with the UAE's strategy to protect public health and safety and ensure returning to normalcy.
