Dubai: The UAE government has been ranked third worldwide in public trust in government performance, according to the 2025 Edelman Trust Barometer.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the achievement on his X account, expressing pride in this new landmark in the country's journey.

Sheikh Mohammed stated: "According to the recently released 2025 Edelman Trust Barometer’s Global Report in New York, the UAE government ranked third globally in public trust in government performance. Trust has been built over 50 years of legitimacy, hard work, and achievement."

He added: "Today, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, this trust continues to strengthen, and credibility is further cemented. The people increasingly rally around their government and leadership, driving forward the nation’s ambition to create the best development model and the highest standard of living globally."

Edelman Trust Barometer’s Global Report

The latest report, which surveyed over 33,000 respondents across 28 countries and is now in its 25th year, found that while many nations struggle with stagnating trust due to concerns such as misinformation and rising living costs driven by inflation, the UAE remains a beacon of stability, with strong confidence in both government and business. The UAE was first included in the Edelman Trust Barometer in 2010 and has consistently ranked among the most trusting nations surveyed. Respondents view the country’s leadership and institutions as trustworthy, citing their competence and ethical governance.
