UAE offers 50% discount on fines incurred for breaking COVID-19 safety rules

Reduction will stay in place for two months starting from March 15

Dubai: The Public Prosecution Office and National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced a 50 per cent discount on fines for breaking COVID-19 safety protocols, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

The grace, which will be stay in effect for two months starting from March 15, covers all outstanding penalties incurred during the pandemic.

The Prosecution has urged those with unpaid fines to take advantage of the discount through the Ministry of Interior’s website and smart app, as well as police departments.
