Rome: General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Tuesday met Italy's Defence Minister Roberta Pinotti, as part of his visit.

During the meeting, attended by Foreign Minister Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the two sides reviewed a number of areas of military and defence coordination and cooperation, and the progress of joint action on exchanging expertise between the U.A.E. and Italy in light of their growing ties of friendship and cooperation.

Shaikh Mohammad and the Italian defence minister also discussed matters of common interest and the regional and international developments.

Also present at the meeting were Ahmad Al Bawardi Al Falasi, Undersecretary of Ministry of Defence, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority, EAA, Staff Major General Eisa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazroui, Deputy Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, Saqr Nasser Al Raisi, UAE Ambassador to Italy, and Mohammad Mubarak Al Mazroui, Undersecretary of the Court of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince.
