Lt Gen Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has launched the Federal Vehicle Portal ‘Markabati’, which is the first of its kind in the world to offer a full range of comprehensive services, processes and procedures for different types of vehicles under one umbrella. Also present at the launch was Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy.
The Markabati portal is an electronic federal portal made up of several interactive and integrated systems, with vehicles procedures and related processes linking the public with relevant government and private entities. It will be a meeting point between traffic services, government departments, customs services, insurance services, vehicle accidents and classification of vehicle workshops, spare parts information and e-payment gateway and vehicle rental companies.
Shaikh Saif hailed the efforts exerted in the preparation of this project and urged the team to work continuously on the development of the project to meet the future requirements of the government and the public alike.
