The initiative supports the wider goal of adopting flexible learning methods
Abu Dhabi: UAE government schools have introduced final revision sessions conducted remotely, scheduled one day before each exam. This initiative is part of a broader educational strategy aimed at boosting academic performance and ensuring optimal outcomes by the end of the academic year.
In official messages to parents, school administrations highlighted the initiative as a reflection of their recognition of the critical role parents play in supporting and monitoring their children's academic progress. The messages stressed the importance of a strong partnership between home and school in driving educational excellence.
Administrators described the online revision sessions as valuable opportunities to reinforce understanding, consolidate knowledge, and mentally prepare students to face exams with confidence. Parents were urged to encourage their children to attend these sessions regularly to benefit fully from the academic content and emotional support provided.
This initiative supports the wider goal of adopting flexible learning methods and offering targeted support to students, helping reduce exam-related stress while improving preparedness.
In parallel, several government schools have launched a new initiative encouraging students to submit practical ideas to enhance their behaviour scores before the academic year concludes. This effort is designed to give students a fair opportunity to improve behavioural assessments and to foster greater accountability and motivation.
The initiative invites students to propose development-focused ideas in areas such as improving classroom and school environments, introducing extracurricular activities and motivational trips, enhancing school-home collaboration, and sharing positive experiences from the school year. Students are also encouraged to suggest enhancements to teaching methods, timetables, and digital learning tools, as well as propose solutions to recurring behavioural challenges like tardiness and low participation.
To participate, students must submit their proposals via the school’s digital platform, selecting a designated supervisor and entering their suggestions in the provided description field for review and approval.
This initiative promotes a proactive, student-led approach to school improvement, with a strong emphasis on behaviour enhancement and broader educational development.
