Dubai: GEMS Education has signed agreements with five more colleges and universities that will offer scholarships exclusively to GEMS students, with a total value of over Dh100 million.

The universities participating in the programme are Middlesex University Dubai, SP Jain School of Global Management, Skyline University College, Vision Concepts Aviation Training Institute, and University of Modern Science.

This is in addition to the already announced partnership with Canadian University Dubai.

Also, GEMS Education is set to announce a series of agreements with some of the world’s top universities, including Yale and Harvard in the US and the University of Cambridge in the UK, within the coming weeks.

The UniConnect programme was launched last year. The programme is designed to provide scholarships and financial aid to GEMS students seeking admission at universities within the region and across the globe.

GEMS students in the UAE can apply for these scholarships through their school counsellors.

Dino Varkey, CEO of GEMS Education, said: “GEMS Education is proud to offer opportunities to make quality education more accessible to all our students. Fostering a number of strategic partnerships with these renowned universities will give GEMS students exclusive scholarships to a range of world-class universities, with the flexibility to study on Dubai campuses or abroad.”
