An earthquake measuring 5.0 magnitude struck near southern Iran early on Thursday, the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said.
Social media users reported tremors from the quake were felt in the UAE, including in Dubai and Sharjah.
Tremors were also felt in Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain.
