Abu Dhabi Police say they uncovered 377 kilos of crystal meth concealed inside the containers, leading to the arrest of three men described as Asian nationals.

The bust, carried out with support from the National Drug Control Service, highlighted how traffickers are getting increasingly creative in hiding narcotics. Investigators said the group operated with a 'professional style' but fell short against the field expertise of the anti-narcotics team.

Colonel Taher Ghareeb Al Zahri, Director of the Directorate of the Anti-Drugs, explained that the suspects tried to pass off their stash using an unusual method, but officers were able to track and intercept the shipment before it reached the market.

This seizure adds to a series of recent drug cases in the region, reflecting both rising attempts by traffickers and intensified monitoring by authorities.

Police once again urged the public not to be swayed by what they called 'misleading claims' that drug use brings comfort or happiness, stressing instead its devastating health and social costs.

Residents with information about suspected drug activity were asked to report it directly through the security hotline 8002626.
