Children rescued after Fujairah school bus blaze

Fujairah: Dozens of kindergarten students had to be rescued after their bus caught fire on Sunday in the Murbah area of Fujairah.

A civil defence official told Gulf News that the driver and supervisor acted quickly after seeing black smoke pouring from the rear of the vehicle.

The bus was immediately stopped and all 34 children on board evacuated before the fire spread.

Firefighters arrived on the scene and brought the blaze under control after receiving a call at 7.50am.

No injuries have been reported so far.

Police will investigate the cause of the incident.
