Heart of Europe

Dubai: A new partnership between telecom firm e& UAE and real estate developer Kleindienst Group is set to improve how guests experience luxury on Dubai’s Heart of Europe islands — with a major boost from smart technology.

The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to roll out a full suite of digital services across the Heart of Europe, a collection of themed islands built off Dubai’s coast. The aim? To create a tech-driven, eco-conscious tourist destination that redefines luxury hospitality in the UAE.

Guests can expect faster internet, smart room controls, AI-driven services, and even virtual reality entertainment across the island’s hotels and resorts. These upgrades are designed to make every part of a guest’s journey — from check-in to check-out — more seamless and connected.

Behind the scenes, the project will feature a Command Control Centre to manage operations efficiently, Drone-as-a-Service for enhanced guest support, and even internet coverage on boats and vessels surrounding the islands.

Sustainability focus

Sustainability is also a major focus. Under its ‘Sustainability as a Service’ initiative, e& UAE plans to integrate environmentally friendly technologies that help reduce the development’s carbon footprint. Other efforts include smart worker tools to boost staff productivity and digital systems to streamline maintenance and property management.

Speaking about the collaboration, Esam Mahmoud, Senior Vice President at e& UAE, said it’s a step toward “redefining smart hospitality” in the country by fusing high-end tourism with future-ready technologies. Josef Kleindienst, Chairman of Kleindienst Group, added that the goal is to create an “immersive, intelligent, and environmentally conscious” guest experience.

The Heart of Europe already features themed islands inspired by European destinations, with underwater villas, beach palaces, and even a climate-controlled "raining street." This tech upgrade will now position it as one of the region’s most advanced and sustainable tourism spots.

The partnership aligns with the UAE’s wider push to combine innovation and sustainability across major developments, while offering visitors a glimpse of what future travel could look like.
