Get free lessons in Abu Dhabi from the trainers behind your favourite K-Pop idols
Dubai: Oh. My. Goodness! K-Pop fans, get ready to scream because something absolutely incredible is happening in Abu Dhabi. As a massive K-Pop stan myself, I can barely contain my excitement to tell you that the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) and the legendary Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts (DIMA) are teaming up to bring us the first-ever K-Pop workshop in the capital.
Mark your calendars from August 20 to 22, because Dee Studio in Abu Dhabi is about to become our K-Pop paradise. This isn't just any workshop; it's the "Kpop Academy X DIMA Dream School," and it's going to give us a real, hands-on experience in K-Pop dance, vocals, and even video production! Can you believe it?!
This initiative is part of the KCC’s ‘K-POP Academy’ and marks DIMA's first official visit to the capital. DIMA is a leading K-pop training institute known for producing stars like Sung Hanbin of ZEROBASEONE, Hoshi from SEVENTEEN, and Kwon Eunbi. Professors and student artists from the institute will lead the sessions, providing a unique opportunity for local fans to learn directly from industry experts.
The workshop is tailored for different age groups, with dedicated sessions for youth, adults, and children. Participants will get to learn choreography for popular songs such as BTS’s “I NEED YOU,” BLACKPINK’s “JUMP,” and NewJeans’s “Super Shy.” The curriculum will also include tracks from the Netflix animation K-POP Demon Hunters, featuring “TAKE DOWN” and “GOLDEN” by HUNTR/X, and “SODAPOP” by SAJA BOYS.
A highlight of the program is the children’s session, which will include a video production component. This will allow younger participants to explore the creative process behind K-pop content, not just the performance aspect. The workshop is expected to boost the growth of Korean culture in the Middle East, offering an in-depth experience for fans of all ages.
