Reading Gulf News while having breakfast is a daily routine for Ramesh Chandra Babu and his family.

He said: “I read Gulf News at 7am for one and a-half-hours from cover to cover for 20 years now. I always go through the main paper, especially the Nation section community stories and India pages. My three children who used to live here read Gulf News, too, and they were fond of tabloid!’s entertainment and fashion sections as they solved the puzzles every day. But they are in India right now for studies.”

As a businessman living for 42 years in Ras Al Khaimah, Babu hasn’t missed reading the Business section a single day. He is interested about company updates and the stock market. Babu said: “There is a lot of information that is related to my business on trading so I go through the Business section every day.

Since my wife is also part of the company, she is reading everything — the whole of broadsheet, the Business section and tabloid! fashion and entertainment section during night time. On weekends, she is looking forward to health section and community features in Friday magazine. She’s fond of reading as Gulf News offers a lot of information to the household,” Babu added.

Babu has been a Gulf News subscriber since 1998. He said: “I am pleased with the promotions of Gulf News for its subscribers and my family were happy to receive and use the vouchers as part of the promotion. I prefer reading Gulf News compared to other newspapers since it’s an excellent source of information.”

As a badminton player, Babu is excited to note that Gulf News also covers badminton in Sport. Even at 63 years old, he is still active in sport. He said: “I always exercise and play badminton so I am happy to read reports on badminton and cricket updates in the Sport section. Also, I would like to join Gulf News Fun Drive since I saw the pictures of participants, from different nationalities enjoying the ride on the sand dunes. But since we are living in Ras Al Khaimah, which is very far from the venue, we’re not able to participate, but I hope that my family will be able to have a Fun Drive in the future.”
