Nothing’s sub-brand CMF has officially unveiled its latest mid-range smartphone, the CMF Phone 2 Pro.

The announcement was made during its Q1 Community Update live from Tokyo. Nothing stated will be establishing a new foundation of its audio product suite with two new wireless earbuds, Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a).

Separately, tree new earbuds under the CMF Buds 2 series were also launched: the Buds 2, Buds 2 Plus, and Buds 2a.

Simultaneously, Nothing announced it will enhance its overall user experience with industry-first ChatGPT integrations in its audio and smartphone products.

Focus on design

Even as a more affordable offering, the CMF Phone 2 Pro continues Nothing’s signature focus on design.

The phone stands out with its aluminium frame, stainless steel screws, and a finish that gives it a premium look uncommon in the mid-range category.

Performance and display

Under the hood, the CMF Phone 2 Pro runs on the new MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, promising smooth gaming performance with 120fps support.

The phone features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with an impressive 3000 nits peak brightness, making it ideal for outdoor use.

Battery and build

It’s powered by a 5000mAh battery, which should comfortably last a full day or more under normal use.

The device weighs 185 grams and measures 7.8mm thick, striking a balance between build quality and comfort.

Camera

The CMF Phone 2 Pro boasts a triple rear camera setup, with the primary sensor being a 50MP camera that captures 65% more light compared to its predecessor, the Phone 1.

It supports 4K video recording at 30fps, enhanced by AI-based image stabilization.

The other two lenses include a 50MP telephoto and an 8MP ultrawide, both representing clear upgrades over the earlier model.

The 16MP front camera remains unchanged.

With this launch, CMF by Nothing positions itself as a serious contender in the mid-range market, offering strong performance, thoughtful design, and advanced camera features at a competitive price.
