Belal El-Banna, Marketing Manager, Xerox Emirates, says that Xerox has a range of entry level MFDs and higher end models with features, including copy, print, fax, scan and scan to e-mail. One among these is the Xerox Phaser 6115MFP, a desktop system that brings advanced features and high quality colour to small businesses. It prints up to five pages per minute (ppm) in colour and 20 ppm in monochrome, and offers 2400 dpi print quality. The Phaser 6115MFP comes equipped with CentreWareT Internet Services software, which allows users to remotely manage the device. Blue-tooth connectivity is available via third party connectors.

The Xerox WorkCentre 7200 series print and copy at speeds ranging from 26 to 35 pages per minute in colour and 28 to 45 ppm in black-and-white. The systems also scan and fax, and include new tools to integrate and improve workflows and manage colour costs. These products also include Xerox Standard Accounting, a feature that enables businesses to track usage, set limits for each user and manage costs. The WorkCentre systems also offer Xerox's advanced security features to protect the document, the device and the transmission path.

Brother Gulf: "Our colour inkjet printer range has eight models with the DCP 115C leading in market sales. It is cost-efficient and packed with features such as colour scan, print and copy and includes a photo capture centre, that permits direct printing of digital images from media cards and smart media," says Ranjit S Gurkar, General Manager, Brother Gulf. In Brother Gulf's recently launched MyHome series, the MFC665CW offers wireless connectivity, a 2.5 colour LCD and a fax review feature. It also has an integrated handset, speakerphone and answering machine, and is also equipped to handle multiple needs and connectivity options in a wireless network-enabled home or home office. The company also offers an entry-level mono laser MFC range, a MFC range for the business and enterprise segment, and a colour laser range, that includes the MFC 9420CN.

Toshiba: According to Pradeep Kumar, Regional Manager, Electronic Imaging Division, Toshiba Gulf Free Zone, Toshiba has a range of mid to high end MFPs built using their e-BRIDGE technology, which involves an all-in-one architecture for integrated copy, print, scan and internet fax capabilities. Apart from the e-BRIDGE models, Toshiba also offers other MFPs to satisfy different user needs. For the low end users, Toshiba offers a 12ppm model and a 16-23ppm range.
Toshiba has also launched the e-STUDIO2500c/3500c full-colour multifunctional printer. The e-STUDIO2500c/3500c incorporates numerous technologies to deliver exceptionally sharp images, among other features.

Hewlett Packard: HP also has an extremely wide range of products in the MFP category. Their MFP range has devices targeting different segments in options such as inkjet, mono and colour laser. "We have the OfficeJet Pro L7000 all-in-one series, which is an inkjet product targeted at personal and small workgroups. The colour LaserJet 2840 all-in-one (which is 20ppm mono an d four ppm colour device) is one the best selling in its product category. We also launched the colour LaserJet M4345 MFP, which is an A4-only copier," says Amr Hassan, General Manager, Imaging and Printing Group, HP Middle East.

"Kyocera Mita also offers a full MFP line-up: from our A4 personal MFP, the FS-1016MFP, to our innovative A3 departmental MFPs the KM-3050, KM-4050 and KM-5050, through to our A3 departmental colour MFPs, the KM-C2520, KM-C3225 and KM-C3232, and our highly productive document management centres, the KM-6030 and KM-8030," says Maki Nagao, Product Manager at Kyocera Mita Europe B.V., International Sales Division.

Epson also recently introduced five new products, including multifunction devices such as the CX5900, the CX 4900 and the CX3900.

"The Epson Stylus CX5900 is ideal for a wide range of printing needs, from documents to photo printing. Incorporating Epson's latest generation DURABrite Ultra ink and its unique Micro Piezo technology, the all-in-one yields a print resolution of up to 5760x1440dpi. The model incorporates fast, cost-efficient printing and copying speeds to deliver high-quality printing, scanning and copying capabilities for the home," says Khalil El-Dalu, General Manager, Epson Middle East.

Canon also has four new PIXMA photo all-in-ones. The MP510 range combines PIXMA quality photo printing with advanced copying and scanner functions. These devices have features such as 4.7 cm LCD screen and uses single ink technology.
