Will Gadd takes just under an hour to become the first man to climb iconic landmark
Canadian Will Gadd has become the first to climb up the frozen torrent of Niagara Falls.
Ice pick in hand, the 47-year-old took just under an hour to scale the 55-metre white wall.
The ascent took place on Goat Island, at the American side of the iconic landmark.
Gadd said: “Niagara Falls has been a lifelong mission that I previously never thought possible.”
Fifteen people have previously descended the Falls in barrels since 1901, but Gadd is the first to complete the climb.
