Chris Eubank Jr escalated tensions with Conor Benn by slapping him with an egg during a heated media event in Manchester.

The British rivals, set to face off at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 26, spent much of the press conference trading insults and behaving more like squabbling children than professional athletes.

The atmosphere grew increasingly charged as the event progressed, culminating in an intense face-off at Manchester Central.

As the pair exchanged heated words, Eubank pulled an egg from his pocket and struck Benn on the cheek with it, provoking chaos. Benn, already on edge and accompanied by his father, Nigel Benn, erupted in anger, forcing security to intervene and separate the fighters.

Their long-standing feud dates back to a canceled bout in October 2022 after Benn failed a voluntary drugs test. This led to a two-year dispute with anti-doping authorities, ending when his suspension was lifted in November. Benn has consistently denied knowingly doping, and the fighters are undergoing testing by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) ahead of the match.

A WBC report in February 2023 cleared Benn of intentional wrongdoing, suggesting his failed test could have been the result of "highly elevated consumption" of eggs—a point Eubank appeared to mock with his stunt.
