Iceland may 'never come home' according to Gummy Ben Image Credit: AFP

Dubai: Iceland's commentator at Euro 2016, Gummy Ben, is now just as famous as the national football team. Doubtless he will go down in history as one of most excitable voices to ever preside over a live football match.

After going mad after Iceland's last-gasp win over Austria, Ben went even more wild after the side's giant-killing scalp over England.

"We're going to Paris! We are never going home! Look at it! See! This is incredible!" he said in his native Icelandic language.

"I don't believe it, I don't believe my own eyes. Never wake me up, never wake me up from this dream.

"Boo all you want England! Iceland's going to the Stade de France. You can go home, you can leave Europe. You can go wherever you want.

"England one, Iceland two, is the final score!"

England's co-commentator and former centre-back Martin Keown was sitting next to Ben and looked thoroughly unimpressed - although that may have been more to do with England's performance.
