Dubai: Two world and Olympic champions will attend the MK Fencing Academy’s International Epee Cup to be held at the Dubai International Academy on December 11-12.
Current Olympic Champion Ruben Limardo Gascon and two-time World Champion Nikolai Novosjolov are scheduled to attend the press conference of the annual International Epee Cup on Friday evening and the actual competition from 4pm on Saturday.
“This is the first time that fencers of such high profile are visiting the UAE and the fencing community is thrilled to have the opportunity to watch two of the best fencers in the world in Dubai.
“Of all the competitions held so far, this one has to be up there among the best. It will be a unique event with a positive atmosphere and a memorable final. We are honoured to welcome the Olympic Champion Ruben and the two-time World Champion Nikolai as well as all other fencers and delegates some of whom have been part of the event since its first edition four years ago,” Mihail Kouzev, Event Director, said.
