Sharjah: Ashfaq Ahmad of Sealine Legends team produced a stupendous show in two tournaments held at the Sharjah Hamriyah ground as he walked away with Man of the Tournament awards in Falcon Ramadan League and Alliance Ramadan T20 Super League — amassing a whopping 1,250 runs from both tournaments.

Riding on Ashfaq’s century and tight bowling, Sealine Legends emerged the winners of the Falcon Ramadan League defeating Qazi Eleven by 99 runs in the final.

Though Ashfaq was in tremendous form in the Alliance Ramadan T20 Super League, scoring 586 runs, playing for Sealine Taha he could not help his team reach the final. This tournament was won by Noble Stallions defeating Qazi Eleven in the final by 14 runs.

Ashfaq had scored 664 runs and took 12 wickets in the Falcon Ramadan tournament. He has been in stupendous form with 15 centuries and 13 fifties in different tournaments recently season but was at his best in the Hamriyah ground Ramadan tournaments.

In the Falcon Ramadan tournament final, Ashfaq hit 102 along with Vishnu Sukumaran (56) and Praveen Achuthan (54). Qazi Eleven could muster only 168 in 18.3 overs with Ashfaq taking two wickets.

In the second edition of the Alliance Ramadan T20 Super League, Qazi Eleven lost to Noble Stallions after putting a stiff fight. Noble Stallions posted 239 for 6 through Babat Ghazanfar’s half century. Qazi looked on course for victory through Murtaza Wattoo’s 75 runs but Asif Mumtaz, with a fine special of 4 for 28 upset Qazi’s hopes of a title.
