Sharjah: Sharjah have signed Cape Verdean winger Ryan Mendes on a three-year deal from Turkey’s Kayserispor. The 28-year-old started his career in France with Le Harve and Lille before going on loan to England’s Nottingham Forest in 2015/16. Last season he scored five goals in 32 appearances in Turkey, his best season since scoring 16 in 39 with Le Harve in 2011/12. He has also scored seven in 35 appearances for Cape Verde since 2010. Mendes is Sharjah’s first foreign signing of the summer under retained Emirati coach Abdul Aziz Anbari.
