Rotax Max Challenge season kicks off in Al Ain
Next generation of Emirati karters target podiums after busy summer
Al Ain: Seven junior drivers from the Daman Speed Academy are heading back to Al Ain this weekend for the opening round of the UAE Rotax Max Challenge Season 2015/16.
Team confidence is high after an intensive summer camp in Laval, France and a warm-up pre-season Invitational Event at the Al Ain Raceway. The drivers will be looking to build on last season’s experience and get on the podium.
Nine year old Ali Al Shamsi, Abdulla Al Qubaisi and Ahmad Al Saadi will be competing in the Micro Max category, Al Shamsi showed great form a few weeks ago to come second in Al Ain. Also racing are the Al Qubaisi sisters who will be looking to build on last season’s successes; Hamda Al Qubaisi will be competing in the Mini Max category and Amna in the Junior Max category.
