MMA series to start and end in Dubai

Dubai: A new Premier Global Championship (PGC) mixed martial arts series will start and end in Dubai, it was announced on Monday.

Supported by Dubai Sports Council (DSC), the series will see 12 teams from 12 different countries each host one of 12 fight nights running from December to April.

Each fight night will consist of eight fights, two of which will be title fights, with the other six being contested for points.

Of a total US$1.4 million (Dh5.1 million) prize purse, winners of the end of season play-offs in Dubai will get US$600,000.
