Maradona claims Fujairah promotion as his own

Culiacan: Diego Maradona claimed Fujairah’s promotion as his own at his unveiling as manager of Mexican second-tier side Dorados de Sinaloa on Monday.

The Argentine was sacked after failing to gain automatic promotion with Fujairah last season, but the Wolves managed to go up via the play-offs without him.

“Don’t put zeros when you talk about my career as coach,” he said. “They say I have not won titles, but I have a promotion.”
