Abu Dhabi: Around 15 boats will be in fray as the fifth and sixth rounds of the Formula 2000 President's Cup will be held at the Abu Dhabi Breakwater area and around 15 speed boats from tomorrow.

Held under the patronage of Shaikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club, the two rounds will be held on Friday and Saturday afternoon.

The UAE's Thany Al Qamzi, who leads the series with 80 points, will be starting off as the favourite in the two rounds.

Al Qamzi, who won the first two rounds in Doha, followed it up with two more wins when the series visited Khor Fakkan in Sharjah. He leads Ahmad Al Hamily, also from the UAE who has 35 points.

The UAE team also includes Rashed Al Tayer, Malik Al Malek and Arif Al Zafine. The Qatari team is participating for the first time with Yousef Al Khalifa and Ahmad Al Fayyad making a strong bid to upset the UAE stars.

"We have all it takes to win the Abu Dhabi Grand Prize. In addition to participating with four speed boats, we have good technical support," said Al Qamzi.

The pole run will be held at 11 am tomorrow while the fifth round final showdown is at 3.30 pm.
