Al Bahri and Al Alami win big in Sharjah

Sports 4 All down CR7 on second day of Ramadan Football Championship

Sharjah: Al Bahri team swept past Al Burkan 8-1, Sports 4 All defeated CR7 and Al Alami defeated La Magica 6-3 on the second day of the Sharjah Ramadan Football Championship (SRFC), late on Wednesday.

Taking place at Sharjah Sports Club’s indoor stadium, the second edition of the tournament is being held under the patronage of Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

Ahmad Saif opened the scoring for Al Bahri with Jasem Al Nuaimi adding the next. Al Bahri continued dominating and Abdullah Salim made it 3-0 while Ahmad Saif ensured a four-goal cushion at half-time with his second goal.

In the second-half, Adel Bahri made it 5-0 and Mohammad Al Qarouni made it 6-0 within a minute. Six minutes away from the full-time whistle, Anwar Al Rekabi managed to pull one back for Al Burkan, but Al Qarouni rounded off the scoring for Al Bahri to complete the rout.

CR7 opened the scoring through Mohammad Al Syed, but Sports 4 All hit back with a vengeance, Saeed Al Nimr getting the equaliser, before Abdullah Al Ansari, Ali Kahnouji and Saif Al Hammadi hammered home their dominance.

In the last match, Al Alami took an early lead with strikes from Omid Oran and Adnan Sultan. Abdul Rahman Ali brought La Magica back into the game with a corner kick conversion, only to see Ahmad Yousuf Mohammad making it 3-1 in favour of Al Alami. However, Mohammad Abdullah pulled one back for La Magica and Omar Al Hammadi levelled the scores.

Al Alami went clear when Omid Oran netted the fourth goal for his team and Ebrahim Eid made it 4-3. Mohammad Al Kindi made it 5-3 and Ahmad Yousuf rounded off the scoring for a well-deserved win for Al Alami.
