Dubai: Top-seeded Americans Lisa Raymond and Liezel Huber made it two titles in as many weeks by winning the doubles final at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships yesterday.

The pair romped to an overwhelming 6-2, 6-1 win over second seeds Sania Mirza and Elena Vesnina in a record fifth Dubai doubles title for Huber, who won here with Cara Black in 2007, 2008 and 2009, and in 2011 with Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez.

For Raymond, it was a first victory in four appearances — her previous best result coming last year, when she reached the quarter-finals alongside Samantha Stosur.

Yesterday there was a clinical precision about the American duo which put them on their way to a third straight crown in their fourth doubles final this season.

After their triumph at the Paris Indoor, Raymond and Huber won in Doha last weekend and also made the semi-finals in Sydney.

They broke the Indo-Russian pair in the sixth game on Vesnina's serve for a 4-2 lead and then dismantled Mirza's serve as well to take the first set 6-2 in 34 minutes.

The second went pretty much the same way, as the Americans dominated in all aspects of the game for Huber to serve out the set and match in an hour and seven minutes.
