Abu Dhabi: Dhruv Bhal signed off on a high note with a composed victory over Marius Paksyts in Saturday's final at Mafraq Junior Tennis Championship. Playing aggressively, he brushed aside Marius Paksyts in straight sets 6-1, 6-2.

Dhruv blazed through in the first set 6-1 with heavy hitting down the line. Marius offered some resistance in the second set, but could not keep up the tempo and went down 6-2.

Marius failed to capitalise on three break points early in the first set, according to a press release.

Dhruv was running down everything Marius could throw at him and an early break at the start of the second set gave him confidence.

In the juniors under-12 final, Patrick Wong over-powered Rhizwan Shaji in straight sets for an easy 6-0, 6-0 win.

After a first set- in which Patrick saved two break points to take on a three-game lead Rhizwan's resistance was broken. He was broken three times to gift wrap the first for his opponent.

Rhizwan struggled to find any rhythm at the start and he stumbled with a series of unforced errors giving Patrick a quick break.

The second set followed similar pattern with Patrick breaking in the first game courtesy a stunning back hand down the line and easily won the set and the match 6-0, 6-0.
