Abu Dhabi: As the capital gears up for Race Day at the Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in the Yas Marina Circuit on Sunday, six Golden Ticket winners, with family and friends, were given a private tour of Ferrari World with a surprise addition to their group, F1 Ferrari driver Giancarlo Fisichella.
"The tour was amazing and the rollercoaster was awesome! It was also fantastic that we had the chance to meet and talk with Giancarlo … it was interesting to see what he had to say about this year's race…I can't wait for the official race on Sunday … I'm a fan of Hamilton's so I hope he wins!" Karen Spiteri, a Canadian expatriate, said.
In addition to exploring the world's largest indoor theme park, and riding Formula Rossa, the world's fastest rollercoaster, with speeds up to 240km/h, the Golden Ticket winners were also given the opportunity to enjoy a special breakfast session with F1 drivers.
They were also provided access to a pit garage during an F1 track session and the chance to listen in on the pit-car radio transmissions, among other package highlights.
"I still can't believe that I am one of the winners of the Golden Ticket…I remember jogging when I was told that but I didn't believe it until I went on their website … everything so far has been unbelievable, especially the F1 breakfast…but I'm also hoping to see and maybe even interact with some of the celebrities who are coming," Vincent Tang, a Malaysian expatriate, said.
