Abu Dhabi: Yas Marina Circuit’s karting track has undergone a major overhaul ahead of the 2017 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Yas KartZone now boasts a fleet of more than 30 Parolin Racing karts, an exciting revamped track, and improved facilities including upgraded changing and briefing rooms.

Thousands of fans over race weekend will now be able to step into the same brand of kart used by the likes of Lewis Hamilton to develop his skills as a young racing prodigy.

The revised track reopened recently and is open to adults and children aged 8-years-old and over during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend.

“Yas Marina Circuit is very excited to welcome our thousands of local, regional and global visitors to a completely revamped and upgraded Yas KartZone ahead of the 2017 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

“Not only will the improved facilities and karts enhance the entertainment offering over F1 race weekend, but going forward this investment will boost the development of racing talent in the UAE.

“Our aim at Yas Marina Circuit is to provide a year-long entertainment and motorsport hub that provides the foundations for racing talent to emerge. Having the very best karting facility is an essential part of that objective,” said Al Tareq Al Ameri, the chief executive of Yas Marina Circuit.
