Abu Dhabi: Red Bull-Renault driver Sebastien Vettel of Germany and his teammate Mark Webber of Australia completed a brilliant 1-2 finish in the Brazilian Grand Prix on the Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo to take this year’s Formula One Drivers Championship battle to Abu Dhabi on November 14.

The 1-2 finish helped Red Bull Renault to clinch the Constructors Championship while the Drivers Championship will be decided here next Sunday.

Two-time world champion Fernando Alonso of Spain needed to win this penultimate race of the 19-event 2010 edition but the Ferrari driver finished third, ahead of 2008 champion Lewis Hamilton in his McLaren Mercedes, to set up a mouth-watering championship finale at the Yas Marina Circuit here next Sunday.

Alonso comes to Abu Dhabi leading with 246 points, Webbers and Vettel are second and third with 238 and 231 while Hamilton on 222 completes the four-pronged attack on the title.

Before Sunday’s race it was Alonso (231) in the lead with Webber (220), Hamilton (210) and Vettel (206) and now all four are still in the race for the title with 25 points for a win and 18, 15, 12 and 10 for the next four positions on offer.

Meanwhile, Team Red Bull, who picked up 43 points Sunday, won the Constructors Championship with 469 points ahead of Ferrari and McLaren.
