Created back in 2001, Red Bull X-Fighters is one of the most prestigious freestyle motocross (FMX) series in the world. The riders compete head-to-head through a series of knockout rounds in front of enthusiastic sell-out crowds. They execute unbelievable gravity-defying tricks on their motorcycles in some of the world´s most iconic locations. The best FMX riders in the world are set to step it up and push the sport forward with innovative tricks year after year.

Event details

Overview The Red Bull X Fighters is a freestyle motocross series that travels the world. Riders set out over a pre-built course to impress judges, scoring points for their performances. Points are accumulated over the course of the season and a champion is determined.

When Friday, October 30 at 7.30pm. Doors open at 5pm, and the event is due to finish at 9.30pm.

Where Corniche West, near Nations Galleria Mall.

How much Tickets start at Dh150 for seating in grandstands B and C. Grandstand A tickets cost Dh195, while VIP tickets cost Dh2000. Buy tickets here

Transport

Car Parking is available along the Corniche and at Nation Galleria Mall, but it will be difficult as spaces will fill up early. Traffic is expected to be heavy Taxi Taxis are the ideal way to get to the arena. You are advised to get off in Hamdan Street and walk through to the Corniche to avoid traffic.

Meet the riders

Event format

The event follows a knock-out tournament format. Riders progress from group rounds through to qualifying rounds, quarter finals, semi finals and the final. A third place face off also runs.

Riders score points in each round, but are allowed to drop their lowest score, meaning that only four out of five rounds count towards the championship.
