Abu Dhabi: Motorsport fans in the UAE have been offered a once-in-a-lifetime chance by etisalat to win a live Formula 1 racing experience at speeds of over 300 kilometres per hour by entering a raffle draw.
Etisalat's unique promotion for speed enthusiasts gives its customers the chance to race in the super-fast etisalat F1x3 car. The F1x3 car is an original racing car with three seats, specially designed to provide the ultimate racing experience from the tracks, a press release from etisalat said.
With the Formula 1 season in full swing, the high-profile promotion will give winners the chance to race at the Dubai Autodrome on October 25 and 26, with a professional racing driver. Etisalat customers can obtain raffle draw entries by sending a text message saying "F1X3", to 1110, to get one draw entry and one week's race alerts for free. Customers can also get 10 entries into the raffle draw by purchasing an iPhone and five entries by purchasing any mobile broadband bundle.
Etisalat has bought exclusive rights, through October, to the F1x3 car especially designed to accommodate three passengers at a time. The car's specifications are similar to a real racing car, including the engine capacity, acceleration, maximum speed as well as the look and feel.
The car is capable of reaching speeds of around 300km/h and acceleration from 0 to 200 in 4.8 seconds.
The cars are on display at the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai and Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi. Sports fans can also get a first-hand feel of the F1x3 cars at Gitex Shopper 2009 from October 18 to 22.

The race features a completely controlled and safe drive by professionals experienced in international championships, enabling them to hit extraordinary speeds in the safest way possible.
Passengers will be equipped with FIA homologated overall, boots, gloves and helmet and medical units will be operational at the track.
Conditions
To be eligible for participation, customers must match the physical criteria — height not exceeding 1.9 metres and weight not exceeding 100 kilograms.
As a safety measure, participants who are below the age limit are required to submit a parental authorisation for the ride and will need to be accompanied.
In order to qualify for participation, all entries must contain information including name and passport details to be used to verify the winning entries.
