Abu Dhabi: Thousands of racing fans will flock to the iconic Abu Dhabi Hill this weekend to experience the unique atmosphere as the F1, GP2 and GP3 teams head out on track for this year’s 2015 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The Yas Marina Circuit landmark has proved extremely popular with both international and local fans alike, but still offers a cost-effective race experience for the hardcore F1 supporters. The ‘Hill’ offers a truly incredible atmosphere as thousands of fans enjoy the spacious setting in which to watch motorsport’s finest drivers battle in out on the track.

With the typical mix of overseas and local visitors, die-hard fans of every nationality will again be delighted with the views on offer, and will get a perfect observation point from which to watch the racing action unfold.

The hill affords clear views of turns 4, 5, 6 and 7, the north hairpin and the famous straight — the longest in Formula 1.

James Lynch, aged 36, from Hampshire, England: “The Abu Dhabi Hill is an iconic part of this race now. It’s in the middle of the track and on TV most of the time. I can’t wait to feel like you are right at the heart of the action. The atmosphere will be incredible, everyone cheering, chatting to one another and enjoying themselves.”

“I think the views will be really good — you get to see so much! And of course I can get a nice sun-tan too, so what more do you want when you come to a Formula 1 race?”

The atmosphere throughout Yas Marina Circuit will be in celebratory mood this year as a soldout capacity of 60,000 will be looking forward to the UAE’s upcoming National Day celebrations.

The UAE celebrates its 44th National Day on December 2 and the UAE national colours are expected to be on show across the circuit at the weekend as fans and teams alike are keen to start the celebrations early.
