Abu Dhabi: British ace Mark Cavendish has pulled out of the Abu Dhabi Tour after crashing on stage one. The Manx rider, who won the opening stage of last year's race, hit the deck shortly after the start from Madinat Zayed.
His team Dimension Data tweeted: "Mark Cavendish went down in the neutral zone, falling on the same shoulder he broke last year."
The 32-year-old got back on his bike but was forced to abandon soon after.
