Jordan's bodybuilder wins gold medal in Arab Games
Mohammad Saeed Hassan wins Jordan's first gold medal in Arab Games this year
Doha: Mohammad Saeed Hassan of Jordan became the winner of the first gold medal in the 12th Arab Games after beating his competitors in the bodybuilding contest for 65 kg yesterday. Iraq's Mahdi Hassan came second to win the silver while Qatari Jabor Al Kuwari won the bronze finishing third.
Qatar won the second gold medal when Wajheed Al Suwaidi won the category of 70 kg leaving the silver for Iraqi Ahmad Jabar while Bahrain's Abdul Aziz Mohammad Bumajeed won the bronze.
Jordan was the first team in the teams' parade in the opening ceremonies and also won the first gold medal of the Games. They are the only Arab country who have taken part in all 12 versions of the Arab Games.
