Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-President of Al Ain Club and Vice-President of the Honorary Board, honoured the sponsors and advertisers who supported the club's activities in the 2004-05 season.

The Al Ain Sports & Cultural Club held their annual celebrations at the Emirates Palace here on Monday night.

Shaikh Hazza, along with Shaikh Sultan Bin Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Al Ain Club Honorary Board member, and Hamad Bin Suhail Al Ketbi, President of Al Ain Club's Marketing Committee, presented the trophies, mementos and certificates to all the representatives of the sponsors.

Later, Shaikh Hazza, along with Jamsheed Ezzeddine Rasty, Chairman of Sasan Trade Company, the major sponsor of Al Ain Club's First Team during the 2004-2005 season, and Amer Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, representative of Al Fahim Group, Al Ain Club's main sponsor for the current season, cut a cake to mark the occasion.

Earlier, Al Ketbi said the strong backing of the sponsors and advertisers helped Al Ain emerge as one of the best sports clubs at the local, Arab and Asian levels.

"Al Ain Club are ranked 77th worldwide, which makes it one of the top 100 sports clubs in the world.

"This achievement would not have been possible without the firm roots that Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan planted for Al Ain Club, and which President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan wisely nurtured," he said.

Later, Salah Salem Bin Omair Al Shamsi, Chairman of Viola Advertising, and Ammar Sharaf, Managing Director of Viola, presented a trophy in the form of a falcon to Shaikh Hazza.
