Seven teams came together to showcase the finest young golfing talent
The second round of the Golf Sixes League in Abu Dhabi delivered a day of spirited competition, as seven teams from across the Emirate and the Emirates Golf Federation came together to showcase the finest young golfing talent.
Yas Acres Golf & Country Club emerged victorious for the second consecutive round, narrowly outpacing Al Ain Equestrian Shooting and Golf Club by just two points. The tightly contested battle for third place was decided on a count-back, with the host team, Abu Dhabi City Golf Club, securing the position.
The Golf Sixes League, originally launched by The R&A and now overseen by the Emirates Golf Federation, is a unique initiative designed to introduce young players to golf in an engaging, inclusive, and competitive environment.
The format features seven teams, each comprising 12 players who rotate in teams of six during each round. Matches are played using a two-ball Texas Scramble stroke-play format across six holes, with the top two scores from the three pairs contributing to the team total.
As Yas Acres Golf & Country Club continues to lead the pack, the next rounds promise even more excitement and opportunities for budding golfers to shine.
