Dubai-based golfers Josh Hill and MG Keyser will hope to make the most of ‘Moving Day’ as they look to climb the leaderboard and put themselves in contention at their respective international events this weekend.

The 17-year-old Hill, who became the youngest winner of an Official World Golf Ranking event when he secured the MENA Tour’s Al Ain Open in 2019, is continuing his busy summer schedule at the English Amateur Strokeplay Championship in Yorkshire.

The youngster came into the event on the back of some good news after being selected in the nine-man GB&I line-up to meet Europe in the annual Jacques Leglise Trophy U-18 boys’ international fixture at Falsterbo Golf Club in Sweden next week.

The Trump International Golf Club, Dubai member followed up an opening 71 with a two-over-par 73 on the second day at of the Brabazon Trophy at Ganton Golf Club to fall from a share of 15th to T-21.

That left him nine strokes off the halfway pace and needing one of his signature low rounds to cut the deficit and catch fellow England International Sam Bairstow, who leads the way after rounds of 66 and 69.

Meanwhile, Jumeirah Golf Estates-based professional, Keyser, made the cut at the Czech Masters after posting a superb four-under-par 68 in the second round.

The South African had started his fourth European Tour event of the season in disappointing fashion with a first round 75, which included three bogeys and one double-bogey at Albatross Golf Resort.

Needing a low round to make the weekend, Keyser came out firing on all cylinders with four birdies in his opening ten holes to get himself back into the red and under par.

The 2019 MENA Tour champion played the last eight holes at level par to successfully make the cut alongside some of the biggest names in the game including Major champions Henrik Stenson and Danny Willett.

The 34-year-old is hoping for more of the same over the next two rounds as he looks to climb the leaderboard and bank as many Race to Dubai points as possible to aid his goal of securing a Tour card by the end of the year.
